Staying at "On the Rocks" Cliffside Lodge is easily one of the best ways to experience Door County's beauty. "On the Rocks" Cliffside Lodge is nestled in a lovely wooded area. The lodge is a modified A-frame with a wonderful bayside deck. Its 3,400+ sq. ft. is comprised of 3 levels, 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, a sunken living room with a massive fireplace, a kitchen, and a walk-out family room (to bayside patio). Because the house faces due north and is sixty feet above the water, Washington Island and even Michigan's Upper Peninsula can be seen from the lodge. The lodge's view of the Green Bay waters is incomparable. |
The main level has an incredible living room, modern yet functional kitchen, and a master suite/master bathroom. The sunken living room has a wall of glass overlooking Green Bay oppossite an impressive stone fireplace. The nautical accented room has a large Persian carpet surrounded by Old Hickory chairs and oak furniture, a TV/VCR, stereo, and a leather sofa and chair with ottoman. The kitchen, on the opposite side of the stone fireplace, is fully equipped for the gourmet chef in everyone. The master suite, designed by Kohler, features a whirlpool and adjacent private bathroom/shower surrounded by Italian marble and wood. The suite also features an Old Hickory 4-post frame with a queen size bed. |

The southeast bedroom has a queen size bed and the southwest bedroom has a king size bed. |
The upper level has a full bathroom and 2 bedrooms. The south bedroom contains eight bunk beds (which is how the lodge easily yet comfortably handles larger groups). The impressive north bedroom has a queen size bed and features a "wall of glass" overlooking Green Bay. |
